Regional Youth Adaptation Forums
T he six Regional Youth Adaptation Forums will contribute to the review of the Global Goal on Adaptation and bring together young people, youth organizations, policy-makers, global experts and international organizations, with the overall objective of elevating youth voices and increasing the power of influence of young people worldwide in the adaptation agenda.
- 22nd March 2022: African Youth Adaptation Forum
- 28th April 2022: Pacific Youth Adaptation Forum
- 31st May 2022: Asian Youth Adaptation Forum
- 11th June 2022: European Youth Adaptation Forum
- 15th July 2022: North American Youth Adaptation Forum
- 12th August 2022: Latin American & Caribbean Youth Adaptation Forum
The six Regional Youth Adaptation Forums will contribute to the review of the Global Goal on Adaptation and bring together young people, youth organizations, students networks, policy makers, global experts, international organizations, the private sector and United Nations agencies, with the overall objective of elevating youth voices and increasing the power of influence of young people worldwide in the adaptation agenda.

The Regional Youth Adaptation Forums aim to:
- Identify youth priorities and recommendations on the Global Goal on Adaptation
- Promote youth participation in adaptation policy and decision-making processes
- Accelerate adaptation action by showcasing youth-led climate-resilient solutions including the YouthADAPT Solutions Challenge winners
The Youth Adaptation Summit will be the most important moment for the global youth adaptation movement leading up to COP27. This event will bring together Youth Advisory Panel members, young African activists, and students from the Netherlands for two full days to share knowledge, co-create innovative and resilient adaptation solutions, and develop key messages and priorities based on the outcomes of the Regional Forums. These messages which will be presented to decision-makers at the Friends of GCA High-Level Dialogue to promote youth perspectives in the review of the Global Goal on Adaptation.
