Bangladesh Climate Resilient Infrastructure Investment Roadmap
The Bangladesh Climate Resilient Infrastructure Investment Roadmap – Technical Report presents a strategic framework to strengthen the resilience of Bangladesh’s infrastructure systems against escalating climate risks, including flooding, cyclones, sea-level rise, and extreme weather events. Developed through a collaboration between the Government of Bangladesh and the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA), the report builds on the findings of the national Climate Resilient Infrastructure Stress Test assessment.

From vulnerability to resilience: a nature-first approach for coastal towns in Bangladesh
Bangladesh’s coastal towns are increasingly exposed to rising sea levels, salinity intrusion, flooding, erosion, and extreme heat, placing growing pressure on urban infrastructure, ecosystems, and livelihoods. To support more resilient urban development pathways, the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) is launching From Vulnerability to Resilience: A Nature-First Approach for Coastal Towns, a climate resilience assessment covering 22 coastal Pourashavas in Bangladesh, including detailed analyses of Bagerhat, Chalna, Morelganj, and Kuakata.

Bangladesh Climate-Resilient Infrastructure Stress-test
Led by Bangladesh’s Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MOEFCC), this assessment brings together expertise via the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), with technical analyses undertaken by the University of Oxford and the Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS), and support from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management of the Netherlands. The aim of this assessment is to quantify the impact of climate hazards on the provision of infrastructure services and the achievement of the country’s development objectives under current and projected climate scenarios.
