Bangladesh Climate Resilient Infrastructure Investment Roadmap

The Bangladesh Climate Resilient Infrastructure Investment Roadmap – Technical Report presents a strategic framework to strengthen the resilience of Bangladesh’s infrastructure systems against escalating climate risks, including flooding, cyclones, sea-level rise, and extreme weather events. Developed through a collaboration between the Government of Bangladesh and the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA), the report builds on the findings of the national Climate Resilient Infrastructure Stress Test assessment.

Gender Responsive, Socially Inclusive, and Climate-resilient Infrastructure

The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA), in partnership with the International Coalition on Sustainable Infrastructure (ICSI) and in consultation with local experts and institutions, is pleased to release Gender-Responsive and Socially Inclusive Climate-resilient Infrastructure: A Practitioner’s User Guide on Incorporating Gender (available in English and Bangla), alongside a companion Case Study Booklet and appendices with detailed applications for the transport and energy sectors.

From vulnerability to resilience: a nature-first approach for coastal towns in Bangladesh

Bangladesh’s coastal towns are increasingly exposed to rising sea levels, salinity intrusion, flooding, erosion, and extreme heat, placing growing pressure on urban infrastructure, ecosystems, and livelihoods. To support more resilient urban development pathways, the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) is launching From Vulnerability to Resilience: A Nature-First Approach for Coastal Towns, a climate resilience assessment covering 22 coastal Pourashavas in Bangladesh, including detailed analyses of Bagerhat, Chalna, Morelganj, and Kuakata.
