Partners

Partnerships are at the heart of GCA’s work as a solutions broker. We partner with the public and private sectors to find innovative solutions that drive adaptation at scale, develop high-level policy, contribute to new research, influence through advocacy and communications, and deliver results on the ground. We are proud to work with some of the world’s most innovative, insightful, and impactful organizations that share our vision of a sustainable and resilient world.

Our partners include international financial institutions, multilateral institutions, governments, trusts and foundations, think tanks, research institutions, companies and social enterprises, civil society organizations, and youth groups. Together we collaborate on accelerating adaptation action.

International Financial Institutions

We seek impact at scale by catalyzing and shaping at an early stage the most significant investments that will guide the development of communities and countries. We work with International Finance Institutions on mainstreaming adaptation into their large-scale investments:

Key partners

By collaborating with partners who bring different perspectives, expertise, reach, and resources, our programs deliver concrete and sustainable results and make a positive impact at all levels of society:

AAAP Strategic Partners

The African Development Bank and GCA have joined forces to use their complementary expertise, resources and networks to partner on a bold Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program (AAAP).

The African Union Commission (AUC) and GCA work jointly on enhancing climate adaptation solutions outlined in the respective organization’s strategic frameworks through the AAAP.

As the lead coordinating partner of the Africa Adaptation Initiative (AAI), GCA works with African Heads of State to address the adaptation financing gap, and implement measures to address disaster risk reduction and resilience needs in Africa.

Donors and Funding Partners

The work of GCA would not be possible without the generous support from our donors and funding partners:
