The African Youth Adaptation Solutions Challenge (YouthADAPT Challenge) has recently been launched under the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program (AAAP) Youth Jobs & Entrepreneurship pillar. The YouthADAPT Challenge offers young African entrepreneurs in climate adaptation and resilience, an opportunity to participate in a competition where they can win business grants of up to $100,000 as well as a chance to develop their ventures in form of a 12-month business support, mentorship and acceleration program.
An information session on the YouthADAPT Challenge will be hosted virtually via a webinar on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 12pm GMT where prospective applicants can find out more about the challenge, understand the application process as well as get any questions answered.
Representatives from the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) and the African Development Bank will provide opening remarks about the initiative at this session. Confirmed speakers are Anthony Nyong, Regional Director, GCA and Tapera Muzira, Coordinator Youth for Jobs in Africa, African Development Bank.
The overall objective of the official launch is to ensure quality applications are obtained within the application period.
