Mainstreaming Climate-Smart Agriculture into National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) in Africa
This event will demonstrate two complementary knowledge tools to facilitate upstream planning of adaptation projects in the agricultural sector, as part of the implementation of National Adaptation Plans (NAPs)
Event description
The main objective of the event is to present two complementary knowledge tools to facilitate upstream planning of adaptation projects in the agricultural sector, as part of the implementation of National Adaptation Plans (NAPs):
- A tool for mapping and assessing adaptation indicators
- A continental map of adaptation stakeholders in the agricultural field
This event will demonstrate the use of these digital tools in facilitating access to information on monitoring agricultural projects and adaptation stakeholders in Africa. These tools will feed discussions on adaptation at the level of National Adaptation Plans in Africa, Nationally Determined Contributions, and the UNFCCC Global Stocktake. They will also help increase funding for climate-smart agricultural projects.
