Event description

The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) is organizing a hybrid “Dialogue on Climate Risks in Investments” as part of the Climate resilient transport asset management for the Transgabonaise Road PPP project. This dialogue event aims to facilitate comprehensive discussions on climate change risks and the implementation of adaptation and resilience options for climate-smart transport asset management.

The Climate resilient transport asset management for the Transgabonaise Road PPP project initiative is implemented as part of the African Adaptation Acceleration Program, a joint initiative from GCA, the African Union and the African Development Bank, to increase access to climate finance and mainstream climate adaptation in investment projects. The consortium of Royal Haskoning DHV, Lobelia, Geo Guide and Rebel Group is implementing this GCA-led initiative.

The stakeholder dialogue is the second and last planned dialogue to support the Transgabonaise PPP investment project in Gabon. Building on that, the primary objectives of the dialogue are to discuss the findings of the climate vulnerability analysis, including the assessment of direct and indirect costs to the asset and people.
