The Multi-Stakeholder Engagement on Climate Resilience in the Djibouti Regional Economic Corridor and the Supervision Mission bringstogether diverse national stakeholders to engage in comprehensive discussions regarding climate risks and adaptation options associated with the World Bank Djibouti Regional Economic Corridor Project.  

Event description

The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) is joining the World Bank’s Supervision Mission in Djibouti and organizing an in-person multi-stakeholder engagement as part of the technical assistance to support the World Bank Djibouti Regional Economic Corridor Project. The multi-stakeholder engagement event facilitates comprehensive discussions on the results of the Climate Risk Assessment, Adaptation Options, Guidelines for Output- and Performance-Based Roads Contracts (OPBRCs) and Prioritization of Rural Roads Upgrades and engages various local stakeholders in validating results, providing feedback and mainstreaming climate resilience in the investment project.  
 
The technical assistance is implemented as part of the African Adaptation Acceleration Program, a joint initiative from GCA, the African Union and the African Development Bank, to increase access to climate finance and mainstream climate adaptation in investment projects.
