GCA Local Adaptation Champions Awards Ceremony & Launch of 2025 Stories of Resilience

The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) is hosting the 2025 Local Adaptation Champions Award Ceremony at COP30, honoring inspiring leaders driving local climate resilience around the world.
The event will be graced by H.E. Janja Lula da Silva, First Lady of Brazil, and H.R.H. Princess Dana Firas of Jordan.
Awards will be presented in four key categories that are essential to local resilience: Women’s Livelihoods, Health, Nature-based Solutions, and Citizen Science.
The Ceremony will also feature the launch of GCA’s flagship annual report, Stories of Resilience: Lessons from Local Adaptation Practice — a powerful collection of insights and experiences from the frontlines of climate adaptation.
