Event description
This session, hosted by GCA and ILRI, focuses on advancing climate adaptation planning in Africa. It aims to share lessons, address policy and coordination challenges, and promote practical tools and partnerships. Through a panel of experts from both public and private sectors, the session will contribute to enhanced stakeholder understanding of adaptation planning tools, and explore strategies and partnerships to enhance uptake of adaptation planning to support resilience of food systems.
Event Objective
- Discuss the challenges and opportunities in adaptation planning.
- Showcase successful approaches to adaptation planning in domestic food systems.
- Facilitate technical dialogue towards addressing key policy and systemic bottlenecks impeding adaptation planning.
- Build new and strengthen existing partnerships to advance scaling of adaptation planning in food systems.

- Greater stakeholder awareness and appreciation of the role and importance of adaptation planning tools in public and private sector investment projects.
