Unlocking Finance and Creating an Enabling Environment for Youth Entrepreneurs and Innovators in Climate Action

The Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program (AAAP), a joint initiative of the African Development Bank and the Global Center on Adaptation, will host Unlocking Finance and Creating an Enabling Environment for Youth Entrepreneurs and Innovators in Climate Action, a high-level side event on the side lines of the African Climate Summit. GSMA, UNICEF, and the Africa Youth Initiative on Climate Change are co-organizers of the session, which is taking place as part of AAAP’s YouthADAPT pillar.

The summit is taking place at Kenya International Conference Center in Nairobi. The event will focus on funding and other enabling environment challenges faced by young African entrepreneurs and innovators that are working to combat climate change. It will bring together high-profile strategic partners that are already moving the needle on climate action and who have demonstrated commitment to coordinate to achieve impact at scale.  The session will present actionable opportunities for collaboration and strategic partnerships.

Participants will include representatives of the private sector, government, development partners, climate-focused organizations, civil society and youth innovators.
