G lobal Center on Adaptation China Office (GCA China), in collaboration with the Environmental Development Center (EDC) of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation (NCSC), will organize three online webinars under the project of China-Africa Knowledge Exchange. These events will focus on integrating climate resilience into infrastructure. The first webinar, “Integrating Climate Risk dimension into Resilient Infrastructure”.

This session will focus on the scientific assessment and identification of climate risks, as well as the systematic integration of these risk dimension throughout the design, investment, and management of infrastructure projects. The event will bring together experts, policymakers, and practitioners from China and Africa to share the latest developments in risk quantification methodologies, policy frameworks, and international application cases to climate adaptation and resilience. Special attention will be given to how climate risk information can be translated into practical actions and engineering solutions, with the aim of fostering collaboration to enhance the overall resilience of infrastructure.
