T he Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) is mainstreaming climate adaptation and resilience into the World Bank’s Ghana Tree Crop Diversification Project. The project’s goal is to improve economic, climate, and social resilience in selected tree crop value chains – cocoa, cashew, coconut, and rubber – in Ghana. GCA is supporting this project through the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program (AAAP).
As part of the GCA–CGIAR partnership, GCA is working with the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT to support the World Bank’s Ghana Tree Crop Diversification Project. Through this project, GCA is bridging cutting-edge adaptation science with on-the-ground action through: 1) Climate and advisory services 2) Vulnerability assessments 3) Value chain adaptation options 4)Ex-ante investment forecasting. Our objective is to integrate climate adaptation solutions and bolster local farmers’ resilience to climate impacts.
