The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) convened a High-Level Dialogue towards shaping a clear “Adaptation Acceleration Imperative for COP26”. Just weeks from the start of COP26, the dialogue gathered leadership from key nations together with regional and international agencies to consolidate the ambition, financing and partnerships needed for COP26 to deliver bold results in terms of climate change adaptation, and position the world to rise to the challenges of a decade of unprecedented global climate threats which lie ahead.
Following the Dialogue, the Global Center on Adaptation’s new floating office in Rotterdam moored at Rijnhaven, a historical port on the south bank of Rotterdam’s Nieuwe Maas River was inaugurated by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.
