This is a private event

Accra, Ghana

14 – 17 October 2025, 9:00 GMT

During the four-day program, participants will examine how to integrate climate resilience considerations into the design, development, and management of infrastructure projects implemented through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).

Event description

The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA), in collaboration with the Global Infrastructure Facility (GIIF) and the International Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure (ICSI), will host the Masterclass on Climate Resilient Infrastructure Public-Private Partnerships from 14 to 17 October 2025 in Accra, Ghana

Over the four days, participants will explore key concepts and tools to strengthen the resilience of infrastructure investments to climate change. The Masterclass will provide practical guidance on conducting climate risk assessments, identifying adaptation options, and integrating resilience throughout the PPP project lifecycle—from identification and appraisal to tendering and contract management.

A dedicated session will focus on the Abidjan–Lagos Corridor Highway Development Project, providing a real-world example of how climate resilience measures can be mainstreamed into large-scale regional infrastructure initiatives.

Through interactive modules, group exercises, and case studies, participants will apply theoretical frameworks to practical challenges, enhancing their ability to design, evaluate, and implement climate-resilient infrastructure projects. Guest speakers and instructors from GCA, GIIF, and ICSI will share insights on financing mechanisms, policy alignment, and partnerships to support sustainable, climate-smart infrastructure delivery across Africa.
