The main objective of this consultation is to gain a better understanding of the current system for managing road network maintenance. This meeting is critical to inform the needs of the road asset management system, which will be examined by the Global Center on Adaptation as part of the technical assistance it is facilitating for the Mali-NSS Project (P507921).

The main topics for discussion are:

  • Current challenges, such as budgetary constraints, staffing, and capacity.
  • The current management of road data.
  • Financing mechanisms and financial flows between the different institutions.
  • The government’s short- and long-term objectives for road maintenance, taking into account efforts to address climate change.
