Stakeholder Consultation: MoWSI Climate Resilient Kenya Naivasha Bulk Water Supply and Wastewater Infrastructure PPP project

Event description

The objective of this consultation is to gain a better understanding of the current hazards in the Naivasha area, and the experienced vulnerabilities of existing waste(water) infrastructure assets to these hazards. This meeting is critical to inform the needs and location of the upcoming waste(water) infrastructure system, which is assessed by the Global Center on Adaptation as part of the technical assistance to the Climate Resilient Kenya Naivasha Bulk Water Supply and Wastewater Infrastructure PPP project to support the Kenyan Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation (MoWSI).

The main topics for discussion are:

• Climate vulnerabilities related to water supply and sanitation infrastructure in Naivasha.
• Thresholds for downtime or damage linked to different hazard levels.
