Zambia Masterclass on Climate Resilient Infrastructure Public-Private Partnerships
During the three-day program, participants will examine how to integrate climate resilience considerations into the design, development, and management of infrastructure projects implemented through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).
Event description
The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA), in collaboration with the World Bank, the Zambia PPP Unit and the International Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure (ICSI), will host the Masterclass on Climate Resilient Infrastructure Public-Private Partnerships from 5 to 7 November 2025 in Lusaka, Zambia.
Over the three days, participants will explore key concepts and tools to strengthen the resilience of infrastructure investments to climate change. The Masterclass will provide practical guidance on conducting climate risk assessments, identifying adaptation options, and integrating resilience throughout the PPP project lifecycle—from identification and appraisal to tendering and contract management.
Through interactive modules, group exercises, and case studies, participants will apply theoretical frameworks to practical challenges, enhancing their ability to design, evaluate, and implement climate-resilient infrastructure projects. Guest speakers and instructors from GCA and ICSI will share insights on financing mechanisms, policy alignment, and partnerships to support sustainable, climate-smart infrastructure delivery across Africa.
