MENA Youth Adaptation Forum
The Forum will take place virtually in English and Arabic.
The Middle East North Africa (MENA) region is undergoing rapid climatic and demographic changes. Increasing temperatures, shifting rainfall patterns, and rising sea levels pose a threat to the region’s cities, agriculture, and freshwater supplies. By 2050, it is estimated that 90 million people could suffer from water stress. In addition, the region is warming faster than the global average with some of the highest temperatures globally recorded in the region in July 2023.
