Event description

In partnership with the European Investment Bank (EIB), the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) and Autoroute du Maroc (ADM) are convening a two-day stakeholder workshop and dialogue in Rabat on June 3–4, 2025, focused on embedding climate resilience into ADM’s national highway renovation program. ADM’s 2024–2033 Renovation Plan, backed by EIB financing, aims to upgrade more than 694 km of Morocco’s motorway network through a comprehensive maintenance and repair program.

GCA is providing technical assistance to:

  • Assess climate vulnerability across ADM’s infrastructure network;
  • Identify and prioritize strategic and cost-effective climate adaptation measures;
  • Support capacity for integration of climate-resilient practices at both programmatic and asset levels.

This collaboration forms part of the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program (AAAP) and underscores a shared commitment to building climate-resilient infrastructure throughout Africa.
