Event Description

The High-Level Intergenerational Dialogue co-convened by GCA will bring together global leaders including H.E. Ban Ki-moon and President Macky Sall, young people and students from across Kenya to drive adaptation action. The intergenerational dialogue serves to:

  • Empower African youth leadership and unlock adaptation jobs and youth entrepreneurship.
  • Champion adaptation education and youth views in adaptation policies.
  • Connect young people with global leaders to foster collaboration and build climate resilient economies across Africa.
Format

The 90 minute High-Level Dialogue will feature panel interventions from global leaders, young people including students and entrepreneurs, as well as policy- and decision-makers.
Guiding questions:

  • What is the role of adaptation education and in preparing the new generation of leaders for adaptation action?
  • What are the priorities to empower young people to unleash their full potential and drive adaptation solutions?
  • How can African youth be empowered to become drivers of innovation and job creation?
