Kenya’s Ruto says western leaders have broken ‘climate blood pact’

Kenya’s President William Ruto has accused western leaders of breaking a “climate blood pact” in failing to keep promises to help finance poorer countries’ efforts to adapt to extreme weather and rising temperatures. Ruto told a gathering of fellow leaders at the Africa Climate Summit in Addis Ababa on Monday he was “extremely concerned” developed countries were not following through on their commitments.
