GCA Webinar Series on Adaptation Insights

23 February 2026, 14:00 CET

Background

Across Africa, climate change is no longer a distant threat, it is reshaping farming realities today. As growing seasons become unpredictable and climate shocks intensify, farmers need timely, trusted, and accessible climate and agronomic guidance. Digital Climate Advisory Services (DCAS) are emerging as a critical tool to translate complex data into actionable advice that helps farmers adapt and build resilience.

Event Description
The webinar will launch Adaptation Insight 03: A Practical Roadmap for Scaling Digital Climate Advisory Services in Africa and will convene a panel discussion to explore how DCAS can become one of the most powerful tools for climate adaptation in African agriculture. The Adaptation Insight brings together lessons from GCA’s work under the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program and global partners to offer a practical roadmap for moving DCAS from promising pilots to sustainable, scalable national systems. It highlights key barriers, six guiding principles for inclusive and trusted DCAS, and five accelerators to drive long-term impact reaching millions of farmers across the continent.

The webinar will bring together policymakers, development partners, implementers, donors, researchers, and private sector actors working at the intersection of climate adaptation, digital innovation, and food systems.
