27 – 29 September 2021, 13:00 PHST

The Dialogue provides an opportunity for Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) member and observer countries of the CVF Asian region to share challenges, successes and experiences in climate change policy, and develop collective policy priorities.

Event description:

The CVF Regional Dialogue will be co-hosted by the Philippines, and Bangladesh, as CVF Chair, and aims to identify and promote headline climate change policy priorities for vulnerable developing countries of the CVF from the Asia region.

The CVF Asia Regional Dialogue’s outcomes, including a CVF regional communique, will feed into the global deliberations of the CVF ahead of and during the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) and contribute to the development of global momentum for the shared agenda of climate threatened nations throughout 2021.

The Ministerial segment of the Dialogue will take place on 29th September from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm PHST, following a preparatory meeting of experts on the 27th and 28th of September. A dedicated half-day training for the CVF’s regional members and observers, organized by United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), will be held on 28th September (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm PHST). The Dialogue will be held in a virtual format.

The CVF Asia Regional Dialogue follows the CVF Pacific Regional Dialogue, CVF Africa and Middle East Regional Dialogue, and the Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Dialogue.
