• Opportunities to shape GCA’s Youth Leadership Program engagement strategy.  
• Direct collaboration with GCA experts and partners working across the adaptation landscape. 
• Experience contributing to international programs, networks, and initiatives that strengthen youth-led adaptation action. 
• Exposure to global platforms and dialogues that elevate youth perspectives. 
• Visibility on GCA’s website and social media channels, showcasing panel members’ work and contributions. 
• Practical leadership experience in a high-profile international organisation. 

• Applicants must have participated in at least two GCA activities /initiatives/ events (e.g. Youth Adaptation Forum, Youth Adaptation Action Day activity). 
• In-country focal points of the African Youth Adaptation Network are not eligible. 
• Selected members must be able to dedicate a minimum of two hours per week to the role. 
• The position is voluntary and unpaid. 

• A gender-balanced panel. 
• Representation from every region of the world. 

Roles and responsibilities

Members of the Youth Advisory Panel 2025 drive youth engagement with the adaptation agenda with GCA. Specifically, they will:

• Provide advice to promote youth engagement in the adaptation agenda.
• Engage with GCA’s work including sub-regional Youth Adaptation Forums and training.  
• Support advocacy efforts, such as amplifying adaptation campaigns including the Youth Climate Adaptation Action Day, promoting youth perspectives in adaptation policy- and decision-making, and engaging with the Youth Adaptation Network through Youth Adaptation Forums.
• Raise awareness amongst young people on the adaptation agenda and amplify educational resources such as the Toolkit for Youth on Adaptation & Leadership.

Membership
The term of the CEO’s Youth Advisory Panel 2025 is one year, from January to December 2025.
